Kai Trump, granddaughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, has shared a video on Instagram Stories showing her performing box squats in the gym as she prepares for her freshman season with the University of Miami women's golf team.[1]
The 17-year-old from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, verbally committed to the Hurricanes on June 25, 2024.[2][3] She attends The King's Academy and enters college with a strong junior record, including a win at the 2023 Florida Junior Tour at BallenIsles.[2]
In the video, Trump captioned the post "We’re so back" and tagged her coach, Alex Paup.[1]
Trump has expressed her ambition to turn professional after college, telling Fox News Digital in July 2024: "Miami is going to be the place that launches me into my professional career. 100%. That's the plan."[1][4]
The University of Miami women's golf team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and NCAA Division I. The 2025-26 season is scheduled to begin in the fall with non-conference tournaments.[2][3]
